Sadly! The Case Of Motorcycle Theft In Malang The Perpetrator Turned Out To Be A 15-year-old Boy
JAKARTA - Malang Police have uncovered a case of motor vehicle theft. The sad thing is that this case turns out to involve minors.
Malang Police Chief AKBP Ferli Hidayat said, in this case, officers arrested four perpetrators. Two suspects acted as collectors of stolen goods, while the rest were perpetrators of theft.
"The main perpetrators are 25 years old J and 15 years old AS. One of the two perpetrators of theft is a minor," said Ferli, Wednesday, September 21, quoted from Antara.
Ferli explained, while the other two suspects who are collectors are 30 years old MIS residents of Sumbermjing Wetan District, and 40-year-old IS who are residents of Pagelaran District, Malang Regency.
Meanwhile, J and AS are residents of Pagelaran District. He added that the chronology of the disclosure of the theft case involving minors began when the motor vehicle theft occurred some time ago.
At that time, the victim with the initials S was driving on the Sidorejo Village road, Pagelaran District at night. Because at that time it was dark and the victim was unable to control the vehicle, he fell and was unconscious.
When the victim realized, he continued, he found a two-wheeled vehicle and his cell phone missing. Then, the victim reported the incident to the Pagelaran Police, which in turn managed to secure the perpetrator, including the collector of the stolen goods.
"Initially the officers secured the collectors of the crime. Then with the suspect's statement, we also arrested the main perpetrator, one of whom was still 15 years old," he said.
Malang Police officers also secured a number of evidences in the form of a two-wheeled motorized vehicle and two mobile phones.
The perpetrators will be subject to Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with a weight with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and Article 480 of the Criminal Code concerning detention with a maximum penalty of four years in prison.
