Marcus/Kevin Go Off Taktah From No.1 The World To Second Position

JAKARTA Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo stepped down from world number one to second after the Badminton International Federation (BWF) updated the ranking list.

The shift from the Indonesian mainstay pair was confirmed based on the latest ranking rating of the world badminton players on the official BWF website which was viewed on Tuesday, September 20.

Marcus/Kevin have dropped to second place after occupying first place in the men's doubles sector in the last five years. The first place is now filled by the Japanese pair, Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi.

The Minions had to give up their throne to the Japanese pair after the world ranking points for the 40th week until the 43rd week of 2019 were declared expired. It automatically makes the Indonesian pair's points charred.
