Drug Dealer In Cilegon Arrested, 76 Packages Of Methamphetamine And Motorbikes Without Number Plates Confiscated By Officers

CILEGON - The Drugs Unit of the Cilegon Police of the Banten Police managed to apprehend a methamphetamine dealer with the initials DW (25), Tuesday, September 13, at around 13.30 WIB. The Head of Drug Investigation at the Cilegon Police, AKP Shilton, said that the perpetrator, a resident of Pengatungan Baru Village, Cilegon, was secured along with a number of evidence.

"It is true that unit II of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Cilegon Police, led by Head of Unit Idik II, Ipda Nasdian, conducted an investigation against a person who is strongly suspected of being a drug dealer of methamphetamine in the jurisdiction of the Cilegon Police. After mapping and gathering information, on Tuesday (13 September) DW (25) was arrested at his home in the Petangan Baru area of ​​Cilegon," explained AKP Shilton, in a written statement, Thursday, September 15.

From the arrest, AKP Shilton revealed that officers found a lot of evidence of methamphetamine found in his home.

"Officers found evidence in the form of 1 black bag belonging to the suspect lying in the room and when it was opened it was found that there were 66 clear plastic packages containing white crystals of methamphetamine, 1 unit of digital scales, and 2 packs of plastic clips, 1 unit of branded cell phone. Blue Vivo and 1 unit of black Yamaha Mio Soul brand motorcycle without a license plate," said Shilton.

It was not enough that the officers carried out development and search at the suspect's location.

"From the results of the development, 10 packages of methamphetamine were found along the Bojonegara-Puloampel-Suralaya-Pulomerak road. So the total evidence confiscated by the Cilegon Police Narcotics Unit was 76 packages of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 33.05 grams," explained Shilton.

Furthermore, Shilton conveyed the results of the information from the perpetrators of DW, he got the methamphetamine from a person with the initials DP who is currently on the People's Wanted List (DPO), DW also admitted that he got a profit of IDR 1 million for every 10 grams of shabu that was circulated.

“The perpetrator DW admitted that he packed the methamphetamine into small packages according to the dose using a digital scale and then stored it by throwing it at location points. And the profit received by the suspect DW is 1 million for every 10 grams of methamphetamine that is circulated," he said.

The perpetrator is suspected in accordance with Article 114 (2) and Article 112 (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and life in prison.
