3,860 Families In South Sulawesi Enjoy Electricity The BPBL Program From PLN
JAKARTA - The government through PT PLN (Persero) distributed free electricity connections from the Electricity New Installation Assistance (BPBL) program for 3,860 poor households in South Sulawesi.Symbolically, the ignition of this free electric connection was carried out in two different places, namely Mattirotasi Village, Maros Baru District, Maros Regency, on Thursday 8 September and in Tancung Village, Tana Sitolo District, Wajo Regency, on Saturday 10 September.The Regent of Wajo, Amran Mahmud, appreciated the free electricity connection assistance from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PLN. This assistance will be able to improve welfare and the economy in the community. Especially for Tancung Village, which was previously not connected to electricity."We hope that the connection for 3,000 residents in Tancung Village who have not yet been electrified can be completed immediately. Namely by facilitating access to electricity for families who cannot afford to get a better life," Adi explained.It is known that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Directorate General of Electricity targets 80,000 households spread across Indonesia, for underprivileged communities living in the Outermost, Outermost and Disadvantaged areas (3T) and registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DKTS) to be targeted by the BPBL program through the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2022.Each family who receive the BPBL program will get facilities such as installing 3 light installations + 1 stop contact, checking and testing the operating Like Certificate (SLO) installation; and filling out the initial electricity token for free. So that once the installation is complete, the public can use it immediately.
