Sikat Operation 2022, Agam Police Reveals 6 Cases From Theft To Sodomy
SUMBAR - The Agam Police Criminal Investigation Unit revealed six criminal cases with seven suspects during the Sikat Operation which was held from 18 August to 13 September 2022.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Agam Police, AKP RJ Agung Pratomo in Lubukbasung, Tuesday, said the seven suspects who were arrested were from several criminal cases.

He said the six cases revealed consisted of two cases of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) with two suspects, a case of heavy theft (curat) with three suspects, one case of sodomy abuse with one suspect and one case of sexual intercourse with a minor victim. with one suspect.
Specifically for the theft case, actually three suspects have been identified, but only two have been arrested. While one other suspect is on the People's Wanted List (DPO) of the Agam Police Criminal Investigation Unit, which is still being hunted by officers until now
"The seven criminals who were arrested have been designated as suspects by the investigators," he said.
He added that the two cases of theft that were revealed each occurred in Nagari Batukambing, Ampeknagari District, with the suspect HFS (22) a resident of Jorong Pasir Tiku, Tanjungmutiara District and his colleague who entered the DPO with the initials R, a resident of Jorong Pasir Tiku.
Meanwhile, the second theft case occurred in Cacang, Nagari Tiku Utara, Tanjungmutiara District with suspect A (27) a resident of Jorong Sungai Nibuang, Tanjungmutiara District.
"This HFS is a recidivist of a similar case and was arrested in Manggopoh last year and A is a new player in the theft case," he said.
Furthermore, two cases of stealing in the form of iron theft for bus vehicles at the Pesisir Dagang Pool in Nagari Kampung Tangah, Lubukbasung District with suspects ARD (22) and ARY (22) were arrested on August 23, 2022.
The case of mobile phone theft in Nagari Lawang, Matur District with the suspect KH (21), a resident of Nagari Tigo Koto Palembayan, was arrested in Padang City on August 20, 2022.
The case of sexual intercourse with a minor occurred in Nagari Bawan, Ampeknagari District. Unfortunately, the perpetrator is also a minor and has repeatedly molested the victim since December 2021.
"The perpetrator was forced to deal with the police after being caught again fondling the victim on September 6, 2022," he said.
Finally, an obscene case in the form of sodomy was carried out by suspect AP (35), a resident of Tiku Lima Jorong, Tanjungmutiara District, with the victim being a 10-year-old boy. The perpetrator has molested the victim since the second grade of elementary school with massage mode.
AP's deviant act was only reported by the victim's family to the police on June 23, 2022. At that time, AP himself had been arrested for stumbling into another case and was still serving his current sentence.
"But we have named the suspect as a suspect in this sodomy case since September 6, 2022 and the investigation process is still continuing," he added.

He admitted that the Agam Police had secured dozens of evidence that were also confiscated, including motor vehicles, T keys, cash, electronic goods, scrap metal and others.
"There is a lot of evidence that was also confiscated from the results of the disclosure of the Sikat Operation this time. The suspects were charged according to the criminal acts committed," he said.
The Sikat Operation which was held this time was to reduce the crime rate around the jurisdiction of the Agam Police.
He invited the public to immediately report to the police if they encountered suspicious activities and actions of residents in order to maintain order.
