Strengthening Dairy Production Ecosystem, ID Food Prepares Corn Feed for Dairy Cattle Industry
JAKARTA - The Food SOE Holding, ID Food stated that it is ready to start improvements in the upstream dairy food sector, or in the national dairy farming sector to strengthen the domestic cow's milk food ecosystem.
This step will start with the provision of corn for cattle produced from the Makmur program.
President Director of Food Holding ID Food, Frans Marganda Tambunan said that corn is the largest component of animal feed production for cattle.
With the availability of sufficient corn, it is hoped that it can help improve the quality of milk production.
"The corn feed for cattle provided will be produced from partnerships with farmers who are members of the Prosperous Program which at the same time provides certainty of absorption for ID Food's farmer partners and of course improves the welfare of ID Food's partner farmers," he said in an official statement, Sunday, September 4.
However, unfortunately, Frans has not explained how much of the corn supply will be prepared.
However, it is clear that the supply of corn will be taken from farmers who participate in the Prosperous Program.
Frans said, this was in line with the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, who encouraged the involvement of state-owned companies to provide support in strengthening the domestic dairy food ecosystem.
Both through land cooperation, involvement in the food supply chain, assistance and financing for MSMEs.
On September 2, ID Food emphasized the collaboration between SOE Food Holding ID FOOD, PTPN Holding, FrieslandCampina and HVA International B.V witnessed directly by SOE Minister Erick Thohir.
Frans said, PTPN Holding through its subsidiary PTPN VIII played a role in providing livestock land, while BUMN ID FOOD Group played a role in supplying animal feed to dairy farms which were established as part of the cooperation.
