Already Buy Government Securities Rp99.33 Trillion, Governor Of Bank Indonesia: Form Of Support For Financing The State Budget
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo said that his party had purchased Government Securities (SBN) in the primary market of Rp99.33 trillion as of August 26, 2022. This is a step of commitment in participating in the financing of the state budget.
"This is BI's support to actively participate in economic recovery, including active financing of the APBN based on Law 2/2020," he said at a Working Meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 31.
Perry detailed that the purchase of SBN of Rp99.33 trillion consisted of Rp17 trillion through the main auction, Rp7.69 trillion through additional auctions (GSO) and Rp74.28 trillion through private placement.
He said this amount had included the realization of the purchase of SBN based on SKB III through a private placement of IDR 62.27 trillion for health and humanitarian financing in the 2022 State Budget.
Meanwhile, in 2021, BI will buy SBN of IDR 358.32 trillion, consisting of IDR 67.87 trillion through the main auction, IDR 75.46 trillion through additional auctions (GSO) and IDR 215 trillion through private placement.
BI also purchased SBN from the secondary market of Rp. 8.62 trillion as an effort to stabilize the Rupiah exchange rate and SBN market in 2021.
Then in 2020, BI bought SBN of Rp473.42 trillion, namely from the initial market through SKB I of Rp75.86 trillion and the purchase of SBN directly in the context of burden sharing through SKB II of Rp397.56 trillion.
Finally, BI also bought SBN from the secondary market of Rp166.2 trillion in the context of stabilizing the Rupiah exchange rate and SBN market in 2020.
