Update On COVID-19 As Of August 30: New Cases 5,070, Added 4,510

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 98,549 specimens were examined with the results of 5,070 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,354,245 and active cases have increased by 540 to 45,054", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, August 30.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,510 cases, bringing the total to 6,151,650 recovered people. Then, 20 positive confirmations died and a total of 157,541 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,717 cases and a total of 1,393,909 cases. Followed by West Java with 1,581 new cases with a total of 1,165,664 cases. Banten has 521 new cases and a total of 329.25 cases. Then, East Java with 473 new cases and a total of 597,299 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,000 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 702 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 333 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 296 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 106,645,0001.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 10.81 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 8,051 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 203,326,561 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170,889,641. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 60,384,057 and the fourth dose was 285,079.

Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
