GPEI Strives To Improve The Quality Of Indonesian Export Products

JAKARTA - Efforts to increase national exports continue to be carried out by the government, one of which is by maintaining the development of export-oriented Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Therefore, the Central Executive Board of the Association of Indonesian Export Companies (GPEI) and GPEI DPD DKI Jakarta are determined to improve the quality of Indonesian export products in parallel and simultaneously with the launch of the Integrated Export Ecosystem Program that combines all potential members.

"This is to achieve five superior guarantees, guarantee quality products that have been prepared, guarantee convenience, smoothness and speed of management in time in the field of distribution and logistics supported by the availability of reliable distribution and logistics infrastructure on land, sea and air," explained the Chairman of DPD GPEI. DKI Jakarta, Waled Alnagar, Thursday, August 25.

Then there is a security guarantee for the implementation of all export product supply management, starting from investment security, business security, transportation security to the security of transacting between countries.

Continuing to guarantee the stability of the supply of Indonesian export products so that they are always available, not seasonal or because there is demand but coloring the basic needs of the world as a whole.

"There is also a guarantee for the selection of superior Indonesian export products that have unique and original characteristics that only exist on Indonesian soil so that they avoid price wars in transactions," added Waled.

To achieve this, GPEI DKI Jakarta feels the need to form a Pilot Project to accommodate the Five Export Assurances with export product specifications that will become trends in future basic needs due to the post-pandemic impact, the Russian war crisis and the food crisis.

"The main industrial sector is Energy & Renewal Energy, the Food & Agriculture derivative industrial sector, the applied area of the pilot project in Eastern Indonesia. The potential of East Indonesia was chosen as the pilot project because it has a wider logistics reach, namely ASEAN countries, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea and the region. The rest of Asia Pacific is through land, sea and air infrastructure," explained Waled.

According to Waled, GPEI DKI Jakarta is committed to making preparations from upstream, namely inviting investors, carrying out public relations functions, media and the government to oversee product quality with producer entrepreneurs, to downstream.

"We will oversee the export process until it reaches the destination country because the perfection of export products and services is a trade ambassador who will bring Indonesia's good name and reputation in the eyes of the world," said Waled.
