Alleged Bribery Of Mardani Maming, KPK Examines Assistant II Of The Regional Secretariat Of Tanah Bumbu In 2011, Mahuni And Mukhlis
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined two witnesses related to the alleged bribery of mining business permits (IUP) in Tanah Bumbu Regency. One of those called was Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat of Tanah Bumbu Regency in 2011, Mahuni.
"The examination of witnesses and the bribery case related to the granting of a mining business permit in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan for the suspect MM," said KPK News Section Head Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, August 25.
In addition, the KPK also examined the Head of the Legal Division of the Tanah Bumbu Regency Secretariat in 2011, Mukhlis. These two witnesses will be questioned by investigators related to the case that ensnared the former Tanah Bumbu Regent, Mardani H. Maming.
"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building," said Ali.
Ali did not specify what investigators would investigate in the investigation. However, the witnesses summoned by the KPK are those who are suspected of having knowledge of the presumptuous actions or practices that are being investigated.
Previously reported, the KPK named Mardani a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification of mining business permits in Tanah Bumbu Regency. He was identified as a suspect recipient.
Meanwhile, as the giver, Hendry Soetio who is the controller of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN) was declared dead.
Even though he died, the KPK confirmed that investigators had received evidence related to Mardani's acceptance. He is believed to have received money from Hendry from 2014 to 2020 up to Rp104.3 billion which was received through his trusted people and company.
