Promise To Provide Detailed Information On Who Was Involved In The Shooting Of Brigadier J, LPSK Says Bharada E Meets Justice Collaborator Requirements

JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) stated that Bharada E, the suspect in the case of Brigadier J's murder at the official residence of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, met the requirements as a justice collaborator (JC). This decision was taken by LPSK after holding a leadership court session.

This was stated by the Head of LPSK Hasto Atmojo Suroyo in Jakarta, Monday, August 15.

"Today we decided in the LPSK plenary meeting, which we usually call the leadership court session, to decide on incoming applications. One of them is from a legal advisor, Bharada E, to become a JC," said Hasto.

There are several considerations taken by LPSK. First, continued Hasto, Bharada E was not the main actor. Furthermore, the person concerned expressed his loyalty to provide information to law enforcement regarding various facts and various incidents.

"As a criminal, Bharada E is willing to reveal, even to people who have a much bigger role than him or his superiors in this crime," said Hasto.

Hasto explained that in the case of the shooting of Brigadier J, Bharada E was still a criminal but had a very small role because he received orders from his superiors.

"Even his involvement in planning and so on is still being investigated whether the person concerned is indeed a mastermind or what, but what is clear is that we see that the role in question is smaller,"

"And we see that the person concerned has no mens rea or intention to commit murder. This is probably what will be followed up in protection and also in the judicial process, we always accompany the person concerned until the decision is taken by the judge," said Hasto.
