JAKARTA - The presidential car and archive exhibition was opened by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno at the Sarinah shopping center, Central Jakarta.
"By saying Bismillahrrohmanirrohim, we will open the exhibition this morning", said the Minister of State Secretary, Saturday, August 13.
This event was held to celebrate the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia (HUT RI).
Seven presidential cars have been used by seven Indonesian Presidents on display in the southern parking lot of Sarinah.
The 1939 Buick unit that was once used by President Soekarno became the oldest presidential car in the exhibition.
Meanwhile, the youngest presidential car at the exhibition was a 2008 Mercedes-Benz Sedan S600 Guard, which was used by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and President Joko Widodo.
Meanwhile, the archive exhibition was held inside the Sarinah Building, precisely behind the historical reliefs or in the hallway of the north entrance.
Some of the archives on display include video recordings of reading the text of the Proclamation to several archives of government policies, including President Soekarno's call to eradicate illiteracy.
The Minister of State Secretary hopes that the exhibition will not only be something that is physically enjoyed by viewing various archives and the presidential car but so that visitors can also listen to the lessons contained.
"Of course, it's not just taking us physically to see archives and cars, but more importantly how the founding fathers, the fighters for the nation's founding, have worked hard to risk their souls and bodies to shape the establishment of this beloved country. And this is our shared responsibility to continue the struggle them," explained Pratikno.
