Police Must Be Able To Guarantee Bharada E's Life, LPSK: Don't Get Poisoned Or Suicide
JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has asked the National Police to guarantee the safety of Bharada E, who has now been named a suspect in the death of Brigadier J.
"The goal is that there is no intervention from any party to suppress his statements," said LPSK Chairman Hasto Atmojo Suroyo when contacted in Jakarta, Thursday, August 4.
In addition, he said, protection by the National Police is considered important to maintain the safety of Bharada E. Because, do not let the person concerned experience bad things, such as poisoning, committing suicide attempts, torture in detention, and so on.
"Our hope is that the police will do it," he said.
LPSK assesses that the protection of Bharada E is important because it will be directly related to the process, information gathering to the judicial process for the person concerned.
"So the person concerned must be properly guarded," he said.
As additional information, LPSK guarantees that it will provide protection to Bharada E even though he is currently still an applicant at the institution.
However, to be protected by LPSK, Bharada E must first agree to act as a "justice collaborator" or a witness to the perpetrators who cooperated in the case of Brigadier J's death at the shelter of Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo.
Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi said Bharada E was named a suspect for the case reported by family attorney Brigadier J.
From the results of the examination of 42 witnesses, expert witnesses, ballistics, forensics, and forensic medicine including the confiscation of evidence, it was sufficient to establish Bharada E as a suspect in Article 338 concerning Murder and Participation.
