Sandiaga Uno Targets 4.4 Million Jobs From Creative Economy In 2024

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno stated that his party is targeting 4.4 million jobs from creative economy businesses (Ekraf) in 2024.

"This year we created 1.1 million new jobs, and in 2024 up to 4.4 million jobs," said Sandiaga Uno, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 4.

Sandi said that in an effort to create jobs, creative economy actors must prioritize innovation, adaptation, and collaboration. Especially those that are superior, such as craft, culinary and fashion products.

Then, you must also form digital marketing as a new breakthrough so that product sales can increase again.

Sandi said, currently all staples in Indonesia are rising, therefore all sectors must join hands, and the creative economy becomes the locomotive of economic revival.

"We want MSME products to be included in the digital economy, so with that I believe that by 2024 4.4 million jobs will be created," he said.

Sandi said, some problems with creative economy actors, such as obtaining permits and providing infrastructure assistance, will continue to be facilitated so that it can be easier to market them.

Then, for marketing, you can go through a proud national movement made in Indonesia by inserting it into an e-commerce platform. It will also facilitate training and other assistance.

"This is necessary so that MSMEs can enter the digital economy ecosystem and sell their products on a national scale. For employment, creative economy actors are at the forefront," he said.

Sandi added, to achieve success, creative economy actors must work with four principles, namely hard work, smart work with technology literacy and digitalization.

Next, you have to work thoroughly, never stop and give up, work until it's finished, and finally you have to work sincerely," said Sandiaga.
