Note! The Following Are Areas Prone To Robbery At Night, Jakarta Residents Should Find Another Way
JAKARTA - The Sawah Besar Sector Police appealed to the public to reduce activities on the highway at night if they were not in a very urgent situation. In addition, avoid streets with a quiet atmosphere to prevent street crimes that are usually often used by criminals to carry out their actions.
"Especially those who roam at night, to be alert because everyone has to be a policeman for themselves. The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sawah Besar Police every night routinely patrols at points prone to robbery," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Wildan Al Kautsar when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, August 3.
From the results of mapping areas prone to street crimes such as robberies and other violent thefts, there are two sides along Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Sawah Besar.
"The hotspot is on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya towards the north (Ancol). The area is vulnerable because the road is quiet, wide and there are many escape access (perpetrators)," he explained.
In addition, a hotspot for robbery is also found on Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta, Sawah Besar. This area is vulnerable because it is quiet and dark. On this side of the road there are only shops that are closed at night so there are no local residents who are active.
"There has just been an incident (begal) on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya. We routinely patrol every night to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for the community," he said.
