Bank Mandiri And BRI May Have The Largest Assets And Profits, But BCA Still Wins The Stock Market Capitalization Value
JAKARTA - The three largest banks in Indonesia have released their financial performance in six months of this year. The three banks are PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk.
As a result, both Bank Mandiri, BRI, and BCA both posted positive financial performances.
For example, Bank Mandiri, a bank with assets of IDR 1,785.71 trillion, posted a net profit of IDR 20.2 trillion, up 61.7 percent. Then BRI with assets of IDR 1,652.84 trillion had a net profit of IDR 24.79 trillion, an increase of 98.7 percent.
BCA also did not lose. The bank, which is a member of the Djarum Group owned by the conglomerate Hartono family, has assets of IDR 1,264.47 trillion with a net profit of IDR 18.05 trillion, up 24.9 percent.
Of the three banks, BCA's finances are still far behind Bank Mandiri and BRI. However, BCA still wins the market capitalization value.
Citing data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) as of July 28, 2022, BCA's market capitalization with stock code BBCA reached IDR 897 trillion. This amount is equivalent to 9.81 percent of the total stock market capitalization which reached IDR 9,140 trillion.
With this value, BCA is in the top position for companies listed on the IDX with the largest market capitalization.

Meanwhile, BRI is in second place. BRI's market capitalization value reached IDR 654 trillion or 7.16 percent of the total stock market capitalization.
The market capitalization of Bank Mandiri is IDR 372 trillion and is in the fourth position, which is equivalent to 4.07 percent of the total stock market capitalization.
The size of the market capitalization also depends on the share price. As of July 28, BBCA's shares were at the level of IDR 7,350, up 0.34 percent from the position at the beginning of the year.
Meanwhile, BBRI's shares are at the level of IDR 4,360, up 4.31 percent year to date. Meanwhile, BMRI's shares are at the level of IDR 8,050, up 14.18 percent from the beginning of the year.
