W20 Summit In Parapat Lake Toba Momentum To Promote North Sumatra SMEs
MEDAN - Head of the North Sumatra Culture and Tourism Office, Zumri Sulthony, assessed that the W20 Summit event in Parapat, on the shores of Lake Toba, North Sumatra, was a momentum to promote the products of local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
"Here is an opportunity for North Sumatra (North Sumatra) MSME players to market their products so that their products are widely known by tourists," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 21.
In the W20 Summit, which will be held from 18-21 July 2022, the Culture and Tourism Office collaborates with the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office to present various kinds of MSME creative industries made by North Sumatran women.
"The presence of W20 in Lake Toba certainly opens new opportunities for MSME business actors in North Sumatra. We also ask them to take advantage of the momentum of this W20 event as a promotional event," he said.
In addition to developing local MSME products, W20 is also a momentum to promote the tourism area to the world.
Because he said, the delegates directly saw the beauty of Lake Toba, so it was hoped that they would tell their relatives and relatives about the tourism area.
"So with the increase in tourist arrivals, of course the economy of this tourist area will continue to grow," he said.
