Sandiaga Uno: Preparations For The G20 Summit In Bali Will Be Completed In October 2022
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno predicts that preparations for the G20 Summit (Summit) which will take place in November 2022 in Bali will be completed in the third or fourth week of October 2022.
Based on the results of his review with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in Bali some time ago, it was found that the preparations had gone according to plan.
"Starting from the airport and venues to welcome delegates from various countries. Ngurah Rai Airport's VVIP terminal has been revitalized and will be used as an aircraft parking lot for the arrival of high-ranking G20 state officials, as well as security for heads of state and guests from various countries will be coordinated with TNI and Polri," he said at the Weekly Press Briefing through an official statement, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, July 19.
In addition, infrastructure and logistics preparations have been prepared in various places, especially transportation accommodation for delegates. Then the preparation of communication networks, roads, electricity networks, to the General Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU).
"We also reviewed the preparation of Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) and waste management at several Integrated Waste Management Sites Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (TPST 3R). In addition, we collaborated with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to assist in providing souvenirs. for the delegates," said Sandiaga.
His party has played an active role in overcoming climate change and managing the environment in a sustainable manner with concrete actions.
These roles include holding a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) related to food loss and waste in the tourism industry, then the launch of the Carbon Offset Calculator program to calculate the carbon footprint generated from tourist travel activities.

Now, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is stated to be in the stage of drafting the G20 Bali Guidelines for Strengthening Communities and MSME as Tourism Transformation Agents: a People-Centered Recovery which will be adopted at the Tourism Ministerial Meeting (TMM) on September 26, 2022.
This was done with international partner organizations, namely the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
