JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno stated that Indonesia has the opportunity to become the center of the halal industry.
Based on the Indonesia Halal Market 2021/2022 report, Indonesia is said to be the largest halal consumer market in the world with consumption of halal products around 184 billion US dollars in 2020, the export value of halal products at 8 billion US dollars, the import value of halal products around 10 billion US dollars, and investment in the halal economic sector in Indonesia is around 5 billion US dollars.

Menparekraf asked investors and Islamic funding institutions who were present at the ICEFF 2022 pitching program not to hesitate to invest in 30 selected participants.
