Disdukcapil: Written On Abdullah's Birth Certificate, Don't Abbreviate Abd In Ijazah
JAKARTA - The Disdukcapil of Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi reminded the public that the writing of the name on the diploma should be adjusted to the birth certificate.
Head of Disdukcapil Kendari Iswanto explained the importance of this being noticed by the community, especially parents. So that the children in front of him do not experience obstacles related to filing matters regarding diplomas and birth certificates.
"For example, in the birth certificate it is written Abdullah or Siti, so it should not be abbreviated as Abd or ST in the diploma," said Iswanto, quoted from Antara, Friday, July 15.
According to him, the difference in names between the two documents is often a problem when someone or a child wants to continue their education, get a scholarship, or even apply for a job.
He conveyed, for people who experience such cases, they can go to the Kendari Disdukcapil for corrections in accordance with Permendagri Number 108 of 2019 if there is a difference in data between diplomas and birth certificates.
"If you want the diploma to be used as a reference, it is enough to bring the original certificate to the Dukcapil Service, then an official report will be made before we replace the birth certificate in question," said Iswanto.
He explained that if there was a difference in the name on the diploma and birth certificate and an adjustment was made to the name, then the owner had to ask for a certificate from the school where he was educated.
"The point is that before making a request for correction, the data should be thoroughly checked so that it doesn't repeat itself," said Iswanto.
