165 COVID-19 Patients Hospitalized At Wisma Atlet

JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC), Colonel dr. Mintoro Sumego recorded 165 COVID-19 patients who are currently hospitalized.

"Of the 165 patients, as many as 135 people with mild symptomatic symptoms, 23 with comorbidities, and seven without symptoms", said Sumego, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday.

Wisma Atlet is currently alerting Tower 5 and Tower 6 with a capacity of 3,801 beds with a total occupancy of 165 patients or 4.34 percent.

Sumego explained that the Wisma Atlet RSDC could also increase its capacity at any time if there was a spike in the positive number of COVID-19 due to the BA4 and BA5 subvariant Omicron variants.

"If there is a significant spike later, we will open Tower 7", he said.

Wisma Atlet Hospital also noted that there were 32 COVID-19 patients with the Omicron variant, with details of eight Omicron variants, five BA4 subvariants, and 19 BA5 subvariants.

It was stated that the 32 people had been declared cured by the team of doctors at the Wisma Atlet Hospital and had been allowed to return to their respective homes.

Currently, there are a total of 338 personnel on duty at the Wisma Atlet Hospital with details of 265 health workers and 72 volunteers. This amount can also be added at any time according to the needs of the Wisma Atlet Hospital.

Sumego said that today the Wisma Atlet Hospital received 28 people to undergo quarantine with details of 10 foreign travelers and 18 domestic travelers.

As of today, 43 patients have been declared cured and 15 patients have been discharged.

In total, Wisma Atlet Kemayoran has treated more than 129,000 COVID-19 patients.

Sumego also reminded that Wisma Atlet is an integrated isolation hospital for the prevention of COVID-19 in the DKI Jakarta and Indonesia areas, especially for people who do not have isolation places that meet the requirements.

He appealed to people who need assistance in handling COVID-19 not to hesitate to contact the 119 emergency service.
