Bali Police: 1,610 Personnel Ready To Secure The 3rd Meeting Of FMCBG FCBD G20
BADUNG - A total of 1,610 National Police and Indonesian Army (TNI) personnel are ready to secure the 3rd meeting of the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the G20 Central Bank (FMCBG) and the Deputy for Finance and the G20 Central Bank (FCBD) in Badung, Bali, by standard operating procedures (SOP).
The Deputy Chief of the Bali Police, Brigadier General Ketut Suardana, said that the SOP is a guide for personnel when carrying out their duties and anticipating if there are special situations or problems that occur during the event.
"We remind all security officers, both from the internal police and external police, namely from the TNI and all of them, to comply with the SOP so that (if any) the situation that develops in the field (can be) quickly anticipated", said Brigadier General Suardana, Tuesday, July 12.
He explained that security threats in principle are always evolving and changing rapidly. Therefore, members of the National Police and TNI who are tasked with securing the event must always be ready and alert.
"We also remind you not to underestimate (underestimate, ed.), to always be vigilant. This has been known by all security officers, we continue to work optimally", he said.
The Deputy Chief of Police said that his party always evaluates the performance of the troops. From that evaluation, he said that his party would make improvements to each series of G20 activities, especially the G20 Summit Leaders' Summit on November 15-16, 2022.
Related to that, the Bali Police has submitted a request for additional personnel, vehicles, and support for facilities and infrastructure.

For the 3rd meeting of the Ministers of Finance and Governors of the G20 Central Bank (FMCBG) and the G20 Deputy for Finance and Central Banks (FCBD) on July 13–16 2022, the Bali Police held a troop deployment which was attended by 1,550 police from the Bali Police, and 90 members TNI from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The security forces will serve under the code name Operation Agung V-2022.
Danrem 163/Wirasatya Brigadier General Khoirul Anam said during the troop deployment that the 90 TNI members would be seconded during the main event and side events of the FCMBG and FCBD G20.
