Bakamla Yakin VBSS Can Strengthen Sinergism With Other Countries
JAKARTA - Head of the Marine Security Office for the Western Maritime Zone of the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla), Laksma Bakamla Hadi Pranoto, said the coordinated visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS) training strengthens the synergy between coast guard agencies and friendly countries.
"The training held at the Maritime Training Center of the Maritime Security Agency of the Republic of Indonesia is very important because it will greatly affect the quality of the synergy between the coast guard institutions and friendly countries", Hadi said in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday, July 8, quoted from Antara.
He made this statement when closing the VBSS International coordinated exercise at the Maritime Training Center of the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency, Batam City, Riau Islands.
In his remarks, Hadi thanked Tony, a representative from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), for serving as a training instructor. Besides Tony, the training also involved Nobu and Umar from UNODC who gave material on CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear).

Hadi added that the integrated program did not stop at the training. He emphasized that his party will continue to develop integrated programs, both in terms of material and participants.
"Thank you to the participant representatives from APMM Malaysia for participating in the exercise. I hope that after receiving the training, VBSS and CBRN will be able to implement it in the field and always establish communication so that the coast guard brotherhood is maintained properly", said Hadi Pranoto.
The closing ceremony of the VBSS coordinated training was also attended by the Head of Operations of the Maritime Security Agency Colonel Djoko Wahyu, the Head of Sub-Directorate of the Marine Security Agency's Exercise Plan Colonel Dudik Kuswoyo, and the KN commanders of the Marine Security Agency in Batam.
