Ministry Of Home Affairs Asks Local Governments To Stop Granting Permits In IKN Areas
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked the local government to stop the issue of licensing in the National Capital Region (IKN).
"Local governments must immediately identify the permits that have been issued and stop the licensing process that is being and will be carried out in order to create a conducive atmosphere by continuing to coordinate intensively with the Authority Agency," said Director General of Adwil Adwil at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal in a statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 6.
He said the control and transfer of land rights had been regulated in Presidential Decree No. 65 of 2022 concerning land acquisition and land management in the Nusantara Capital, which is the authority of the Authority.
"Therefore, we ask parties outside the Authority to exercise restraint and stop land use activities until the Ministry of Home Affairs technical instructions are issued in the not too distant future," he said.
Factually, it is important to provide legal certainty in the midst of the emergence of unauthorized land use in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) by a group of parties on behalf of the community and or corporations so that it can lead to unilateral actions or claims.
Meanwhile, the law enforcement scheme in land use in the IKN area needs attention so that Forkopimda collaboration must continue to be strengthened.
"One of the key factors for the success of development in IKN is the solidity of the Forkopimda of East Kalimantan Province, therefore the Regional Government must position itself as the node of Forkopimda by continuing to involve regional officials in realizing peace, public order and community protection (trantibumlinmas) in the IKN area," said Safrizal .
Physical development will begin in August 2022 at IKN and will continue after the enactment of Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning the State Capital.
For this reason, the smooth process in the field must be fully supported by all parties and become a unified development movement that is comprehensive.
This policy direction came to light after the holding of the Internal Land Use Control Meeting and Preparation for the Development Phase of the IKN Area in Jakarta, 5 July 2022.
