Meet Two UAE Investment Boards, SOE Minister Aims For Potential Strategic Partnerships

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir recently met with two investment bodies belonging to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), namely the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and ADQ.

The meeting was revealed by Erick Thohir through his personal social media.

In this meeting, Erick was also accompanied by the President Director of the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) Ridha DM Wirakusumah.

Erick and the Director of INA discussed the strategic partnerships that have been running so far and the potential for collaborations that can be worked on.

"I and the President Director of INA discussed the strategic partnership that has been running so far, as well as Indonesia's potential as a new Asian tiger," he said, quoted from the official Instagram @erickthohir, Friday, July 1.

According to him, ADIA and ADQ see Indonesia as a stable country and good for investment. In fact, both of them are very optimistic about the investment potential in Indonesia.

"Alhamdullilah, they are very optimistic about Indonesia. In the midst of increasingly fierce world competition, they see Indonesia as a stable and safe country for investment," he wrote.

Erick hopes that the cooperation between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through ADIA, ADQ and INA can open up wide job opportunities for the community. In particular, for the younger generation.

"God willing, their investment can open up job opportunities for the younger generation. Bismillah," he said.
