Installation Of Clean Water Pipes In Kamal Muara Continues, Anies: Tremendous Savings
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan attended the laying of the first clean water pipe in the next stage of installation in Kamal Muara Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
The previous plumbing had been running for 100 days. Anies said this was an effort by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in terms of fulfilling the basic needs of the community, namely clean water evenly, by installing a pipeline network throughout the Kamal Muara area.
"We want more residents in Jakarta to be able to get water from pipes. They don't have to take water from the ground. Second, they don't have to buy water from distributors, which are expensive," Anies said at the location, Thursday, June 30.
Anies said that currently the people of Kamal Muara can make significant savings. Previously in one month they had to spend weekly or daily water, the total per month could be up to Rp800 thousand to Rp1 million.
When compared to today, using piped water can only pay around Rp. 50 thousand to Rp. 80 thousand, depending on the number of needs.
"This is an extraordinary savings. If it was calculated earlier, it could save 95 percent. So the cost that goes out for households for water can decrease by 95 percent. This means that their income can be used for other needs. It can be for children's education, house repairs, other activities ," explained Anies.
For information, there are currently 11 RTs in RW 01 Kamal Muara Village that have enjoyed access to piped water, namely RT 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12.
Currently, 8 RTs in RW 04 Kamal Muara Village have also been connected to piped water access by PAM Jaya, namely RT 01 to RT 08.
