KPK Will Talk To Hanura, Ask Oso To Sign Declaration To Become Anti-Corruption Role Model

JAKARTA - The Hanura Party will receive an anti-corruption lecture from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This activity aims to prevent corrupt practices in the political field.

This activity will be held at the ACLC KPK Building. It is certain that the General Chairperson of the Hanuta Party, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) will attend along with other party officials. Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Alexander Marwata, gave the lecture.

"The confirmation that we received the activity will be attended by the General Chairperson of Hanura Oesman Sapta Odang and 54 party officials," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ipi Maryati in a written statement, Thursday, June 30.

In addition, the administrators of the DPD/DPW and the DPC of the Hanura Party will also participate in similar activities. However, they will follow it online.

Later, there will be a number of things that will be provided, including those related to Strengthening Integrity, the Political Party Integrity System (SIPP), and discussing anti-corruption independent learning.

In addition, OSO will sign the Joint Declaration on the Integrity of Political Parties. Several points in the declaration, namely rejecting money politics until they are willing to be a role model for their subordinates.

"Ketum Hanura will also sign this Declaration, which is a commitment of political parties to internalize and build the internal integrity of political parties," said Ipi.

"This includes refusing money politics, conflicts of interest, bribery, extortion, gratification and other corruption crimes; willingness to serve as a role model in eradicating corruption," he continued.

In addition, this declaration also contains a willingness to increase anti-corruption knowledge, develop intelligent politics with integrity through anti-corruption learning facilitated by the Anti-Corruption Education Center of the KPK, and be actively involved in anti-corruption movements within political parties.

The Hanura Party is the seventh party to receive a lecture from the KPK. Previously, the anti-corruption commission had provided anti-corruption briefings to the leadership and management of 6 political parties, namely PAN, PBB, Democrat, Gerindra, PDIP, and Golkar.
