Injections At 17 Puskesmas, Rubella Measles Immunization In Sangihe, North Sulawesi Has Reached 11,857 Children
SULUT - A total of 11,857 children in the Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi) have been immunized against Measles Rubella. This figure means that 64.64 percent of the immunization target reached 18,342 children.
"Of the 18,342 children aged nine months to 12 years targeted, 64 percent have received measles-rubella immunization," said Head of the Sangihe Islands District Health Office Handry Pasandaran in Tahuna, North Sulawesi, quoted from Antara, Friday, June 24.
According to him, Measles Rubella immunization activities were carried out in all Puskesmas in the Sangihe Regency Government.
"The ranks of the Health Service who are in 17 Puskesmas continue to carry out measles-rubella immunization for children aged nine months to 12 years," he said.
The highest immunization achievement was in the Kahakitang Health Center, Tatoareng District with an achievement of 129.23 percent or 672 children from the target of 520 people, while the lowest achievement was in the Lapango Health Center area with an achievement of 12.15 percent or only 202 of the target of 1,663 people.
He expects the participation of parents to bring their children to be given measles-rubella immunization so that there is immunity to the measles virus.
"We urge all parents who have children aged nine months to 12 years to be brought to the nearest health service to be given measles-rubella immunization," he said.
