Pancasila Youth-KNPI Participate In Holywings Police On Free Alcohol Promo For Visitors Named Muhammad And Maria
JAKARTA - Pemuda Pancasila (PP) and the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) participated in reporting Holywings Indonesia to Polda Metro Jaya. The report relates to allegations of blasphemy following the promotion of giving free alcoholic beverages to those named Muhammad and Maria.
"We have reported that cafe officers who have caused public unrest by blasphemy against religion have compared the names of Muhammad and Maria with alcohol," said Secretary of DKI Satma PP, Muhammad Akbar Supratman, to reporters, Friday, June 24.
One of the reasons for this report is because the promos issued by Holywings are considered to hurt Muslims and Christians. Because the promo used the names of Muhammad and Maria.
"He collected Muhammad's name with Maria's name to distribute free alcohol drinks, which we both know in every religion that alcoholic beverages are forbidden," he said.
Specifically, the use of the name Muhammad in the promotion was considered an insult. Because, equated as people who often get drunk.
"So he belittled Muhammad's name with people who like to get drunk or people who like to drink alcohol. This really tarnishes all of us as religious people," said Akbar.
The report was received by Polda Metro Jaya and registered with number LP/B/3139/VI/2022/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya dated June 24, 2022.
In that report, Holywings allegedly violated Article 156 A of the Criminal Code on Blasphemy.
