Profit For The First Quarter Of 2022 Soared By 142.7 Percent To Rp392.8 Billion, Jasa Marga Is More Optimistic Of Increasing Financial Performance This Year
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded a positive performance with a net profit in 2021 of Rp1.62 trillion. This figure increased by 222.4 percent when compared to 2020.
Jasa Marga's ability to maintain this positive performance is also reflected in the growth in Operating Revenues of Rp11.78 trillion, an increase of 22.8 percent compared to 2020.
This operating income came from the contribution of Toll Revenues of Rp. 10.79 trillion, an increase of 23.1 percent compared to 2020, as well as the increase of Other Operating Income of Rp. 990.07 billion, an increase of 20.0 percent compared to 2020.
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana explained that Jasa Marga is optimistic that it will continue to improve its positive performance during 2022. This is in line with the recovering condition of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the increase in traffic volume, which is much better.
"As the market leader in the Indonesian toll road industry, we are optimistic that this performance can increase in 2022. This is reflected in Jasa Marga's success in opening a brilliant performance in the first quarter of 2022 by recording a net profit of Rp. 392.8 billion, up 142.7 percent. compared to the first quarter of 2021," he said in an official statement, Friday, June 24.
Lisye said that in the midst of Indonesia's economic condition which continues to rise and is recovering from the pandemic, increased community mobilization has become a positive catalyst for the increase in the Company's traffic volume.
"We recorded a positive trend of increasing traffic volume on all Jasa Marga Group Toll Roads from year to year in line with increasing community mobility," he said.
Jasa Marga noted that the average daily traffic of vehicles from January to May 2022 reached 3.2 million vehicles per month.
"This average daily traffic volume has increased by 12.8 percent compared to the same period in 2021, and an increase of 27.0 percent compared to the period in 2020," he explained.
Lisye also added that until now Jasa Marga operates a total length of 1,260 km toll roads, which is 51 percent of toll roads operating throughout Indonesia. At the beginning of 2022, Jasa Marga added an operational toll road with the operation of the Manado-Bitung Toll Road, the Danowudu-Bitung section of 13.42 km.
"Meanwhile, the total toll road concessions owned by Jasa Marga to date have reached 1,809 Km throughout Indonesia. The total length of toll road concessions includes the addition of a 206.5 Km Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road concession in early January this year," he said.
