KALTIM - Chairman of the Indonesian Catholic Student Association (PMKRI) Benikdiktus Papa emphasized that this organization will oversee the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan.
"The XXXII Congress and the XXXI Supreme Consultative Assembly (MPA) of PMKRI emphasize that they will oversee development after the establishment of the Nusantara IKN," said Benikdiktus in his remarks in front of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and hundreds of invitees at the Sempaja Samarinda Convention Hall, East Kalimantan, Antara, Wednesday, 22 June.
This congress, he said, was to emphasize guarding the great ideals of President Joko Widodo as head of state because he dared to take the decision to move IKN to the central part of Indonesia for equitable development.
He hopes that the transfer of IKN can make a major contribution to the welfare of the community according to President Jokowi's ideals.
Moreover, the transfer of IKN is not only a matter of physical development and beauty, but this transfer is a matter of Indonesian design, new ideals, and will become the new future of the Indonesian nation, he said.
"For that, we as a generation that are part of Indonesia want to guard and contribute to the development of the Nusantara IKN for the progress of the nation and state," he said.
