Empty Vaccine Case In Medan Tried, Dr. Gita Accused Of Not Supporting Overcoming Infectious Disease Outbreaks
MEDAN - The Medan District Court (PN) held a trial of the alleged blank vaccine case with the defendant Dr Tengku Gita Aisyaritha.
In his indictment, Public Prosecutor (JPU) Yuliyati Ningsih said the case occurred on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Wahidin Sudirohusodo Private Elementary School on Jalan KL Yos Sudarso, Martubung Village, Medan Labuhan District, Medan.
The vaccination was organized by the Medan Labuhan Police in collaboration with the Delima General Hospital. At that time, Dr. Gita became one of the vaccinators in vaccinating children aged 6-11 years.
"As for the implementation of the vaccination at the school, it was carried out by two teams," said Yuliati before a judge chaired by Imanuel Tarigan.
Yuliyati said that when Dr. Gita was about to inject the vaccine into a child with the initials O, the child's parents also recorded the action.
When the defendant, Dr. Gita, was about to inject the needle into the victim's left arm, he saw that the pluggeer was not attracted to the 0.5 ML position. This is also reinforced by the results of the Prodia Clinical Laboratory examination Number: 2201270206 dated January 27, 2022 if the results of the Immuno Serology examination are non-reactive.
"From the video recording, when the syringe/syringe was injected into witness O's arm, the syringe/syringe was empty/no vaccine liquid or at least less than the prescribed dose," he said.
Not only one child, the prosecutor said the same thing also happened to another child with the initials GK. Where based on the results of the Criminalistics Laboratory examination, evidence Lab number: 475/FKF/2022 dated January 20, 2022, in the video recording, it can be seen that the plugger is not in the position of being filled with the vaccine with a dose of 0.5 ML.
Yuliyati said it should be in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/menkes/6688/2021 dated December 31, 2021 regarding the Implementation of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Vaccination for children aged 6-11 years, giving children vaccines. that is as much as 0.5 ML which is given twice with an interval of at least 28 days via intramuscular injection in the upper arm.
"That the actions of the defendant Dr. Tengku Gita as a vaccinator who gave vaccines to children were not in accordance with the dose, it was an act that did not support the efforts to overcome the ongoing infectious disease outbreak, namely the Covid-19 virus outbreak," he said.
In this case, Dr. Gita was charged with violating Article 14 Paragraph 1 of Law No. 4 of 1984, concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases and/or Article 14 Paragraph 2 of Law No. 4 of 1984, concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases.
