Urges The Government To Announce The Cost Of Bulk Migor Production, Member Of Commission VII DPR: The Market Price Is Unclear

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VII DPR RI, the PKS Mulyanto faction, assessed that one of the causes for the messy management of cooking oil in the country is because the government is not clear on how much the Cost of Production (HPP) of bulk cooking oil (migor) is.

Therefore, Mulyanto urges the government to immediately announce the actual HPP for migrants. According to him, it is important to know the amount of a reasonable economic selling price.

"As a result, there is uncertainty about the price of migrants in the market. There are arguments from entrepreneurs that the HET (highest retail price) is low and so on," he said in a written statement, Thursday, June 9.

In fact, according to Mulyanto, to this day the price of bulk migration in traditional markets is far above the HET that has been set. Prices were released following the market mechanism.

"The public needs to know, what is the actual cost of production of bulk migrants. In order to make clear the game of migrant prices from the producer level, distributors reach the people's hands. So far, the production figures seem closed," he said.

Moreover, said Mulyanto, there is an impression that the HET is set far below the HPP, even though it has been subsidized. In fact, these manufacturers-distributors sell at a loss with this HET policy.

"As a result, they are reluctant to produce the bulk migraine. It is evident that the Minister of Industry has complained about the producers' nationalism commitments in participating in the Ministry of Industry's subsidized bulk migration program," said Mulyanto.

Mulyanto admitted that he was not sure that entrepreneurs would lose money in the oligopolistic migrant market. Where producers are better able to dictate prices in the market. According to him, the opposite is true, from day to day these migrant entrepreneurs are accumulating wealth, and they are even among the richest people in Indonesia.

Furthermore, said Mulyanto, especially the state facilities they enjoy starting from the right to cultivate (HGU) palm oil land, plantation concession permits, industrial development and operation, domestic trade and exports.

In fact, the government also helps absorb domestic CPO through the biofuel program, whose volume is increasing day by day.

This includes the government swiftly advocating the issue of palm oil when it was attacked by the European community regarding accusations that the management of Indonesian palm oil plantations was not environmentally friendly.

"It is important for the government to announce to the public about this bulk migration HPP, so that the principles of transparency and business fairness are enforced. It is not the people who are victimized by rare and expensive migraines," said the Deputy Chair of the PKS Faction.
