The Prosecutor's Office Will Check Surabaya Satpol PP Head Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In The Sale Of Confiscated Evidence
SURABAYA - The Surabaya State Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) conducted an investigation related to the alleged corruption case of a high-ranking member of the Surabaya City Satpol PP, by selling confiscated goods. The Kejari will also examine the Surabaya Satpol PP head for questioning regarding the case.
"For the purposes of the investigation, it is also possible to summon the Head of the Surabaya Satpol PP," said the Head of the Prosecutor's Office for Surabaya, Danang Suryo Wibowo, in Surabaya, Wednesday, June 8.
Currently, continued Danang, the Kejari Surabaya is still collecting information (Pulbaket), related to the case. The case in question is evidence that was confiscated by the Surabaya Satpol PP.
"The information is that these items were the result of the Satpol PP's operations. Currently, it is still in the process of being investigated, in the not too distant future we will inform the media," he said.
Asked about the confiscated goods that have been included in the category of state assets, he emphasized that the matter is still part of the investigation. "We will investigate more deeply (the status of the confiscated items), because they are like items found or items from the control operation," he said.
Kajari emphasized that the Corruption Act also contains rules governing the abuse of his authority as a state civil apparatus (ASN).
"The understanding of corruption doesn't have to only be about articles 2 and 3 (the Anti-Corruption Law). Because there are also other provisions in which ASN can also commit criminal acts in the context of corruption, which is not only in the context of state losses, but there is also abuse. authority," he said.
