COVID-19 Update As Of June 7: 518 New Cases, Active Cases Increase To 3.664

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 79.279 specimens were examined with the results of 518 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.057.660 people and active cases have increased by 166 to 3.664," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, June 7.

Today's recovered cases increased by 350 cases, bringing the total to 5.897.372 recovered people. Then, there were 2 positive confirmations that died and a total of 156.624 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 260 cases and a total of 1.251.986 cases. Followed by West Java with 78 new cases with a total of 1.107.009 cases. Banten has 58 new cases and a total of 293.473 cases. Then, East Java with 35 new cases and a total of 576.507 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 102 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 95 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 44 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 18 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 99.181.588.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.77 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3.425 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 200.629.176 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167.796.324 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 46.817.474. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
