Teenager In North Sumatra Molested By 10 Men, The Modus Operandi Is Threatening To Spread Sex Videos Of The Victim

MEDAN - A 16-year-old girl in North Tapanuli Regency (Taput), North Sumatra, became the victim of sexual abuse by 10 men. Of the 10 perpetrators, 7 people are still minors.

Head of Public Relations of the Taput Police, 1st Adjutant Inspector Walpon Baringbing, said that the case was first discovered after the victim's mother, with the initials PSS (51) saw a video and chat containing an invitation to have sex on her daughter's cellphone.

"Then the victim's mother asked the victim and the victim cried and told her everything that happened," said 1st Adjutant Inspector Walpon, Monday, June 6.

Hearing his daughter's confession, PSS then reported the depraved act to the Taput Police, Saturday, June 4.

"From the report, the victim's mother explained that her daughter had been sexually assaulted by 10 men. Of which, 7 of them were minors and 3 of them were adults," he said.

1st Adjutant Inspector Walpon said that 3 adult perpetrators molested the victim, namely DH (19), APDH (20), BAS (20). While the other 7 perpetrators are still 17, 16, and 15 years old.

When interrogated by the police, the victim admitted that she first had sex with a 16-year-old perpetrator around April 2022.

"When they had sex, they recorded it and stored it on the perpetrator's cellphone," continued 1st Adjutant Inspector Walpon.

However, whether intentionally or not by the perpetrators, the immoral video reached BAS (20). By BAS, the video was sent back to the victim and threatened to tell others.

"Feared by the threat, BAS and the victim met one night. BAS asked for sex and the victim agreed. After that, 2 other perpetrators followed," said 1st Adjutant Inspector Walpon.

It didn't stop there, the perpetrator APDH (20) who knew about this also contacted the victim and asked her to have sex. The modus operandi is the same as that of the BAS actors.

"Then APDH did the same thing and asked to have sex. The next day 3 perpetrators followed. The day after tomorrow by 2 perpetrators in a row lastly, she was sexually assaulted by DH (19)," he explained.

1st Adjutant Inspector Walpon said that after receiving the report, the police immediately went after the perpetrator.

"Once we received the complaint, our operational team immediately arrested the ten suspects," he said.

When interrogated by the police, the ten suspects confessed to all their acts of molesting the victim. Currently, all suspects have been detained at the Taput Police Headquarters.

"For the actions of the suspects, they are suspected of violating Article 76E Yo Article 82 paragraphs 1, 2,3, and 4 of the 2016 Indonesian Law on Child Protection, which carries a minimum penalty of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years in prison," said 1st Adjutant Inspector Walpon.
