10 Students In Cempaka Putih Hunted By Police After Mistreatment Of A Teenager With An Iron Ruler

JAKARTA - Muhammad Kahfi (17) a student of the Kampung Jawa Vocational School became a victim of abuse against other students on Mardani Street, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.

The Head of the Cempaka Putih Police, Commissioner Bernard Bachtera Saragih, confirmed that a student was assaulted on Mardani Street. The incident started when the victim was about to take his friend home, but 10 other students stopped him.

"The victim was driving a motorbike and riding with two of his friends. On Mardani Street, 10 other students were intercepted. The victim fell, two of his friends managed to escape and the victim was beaten with an iron ruler and suffered lacerations to the head," said Commissioner Bernard when contacted, Wednesday, June 1st.

Commissioner Bernard said the victim's family had reported the incident to the Cempaka Putih Police. At this time, the victim's condition has recovered, although there are injuries to the head.

"The victim's condition has recovered, we are also investigating this case," he said.

Bernard added that his staff knew the identity of the perpetrator of the persecution of the Javanese Student Vocational High School students. In the near future, the persecutors will be arrested.

"We already know the identity of the students, we will arrest them. If it is proven that they have committed abuse, they will be subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 5 years in prison," he said.
