COVID-19 Update As Of May 31: 340 New Cases Appeared From Examination Of 76.719 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 76.719 specimens were examined with the results of 340 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.054.633 people and active cases have increased by 88 to 2.959 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, May 31.
Today's recovered cases increased by 247 cases, bringing the total to 5.895.423 recovered people. Then, there were 12 positive confirmations that died and the total was 156.586 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 132 cases and a total of 1.250.716 cases. Followed by West Java with 60 new cases with a total of 1.106.641 cases. Banten has 44 new cases and a total of 293.184 cases. Then, East Java with 33 new cases and a total of 576.286 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 111 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 31 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 29 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 21 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 98.738.878.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.51 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3.484 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 200.267.408 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167.420.810 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 45.672.972. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
