Inspection At Tanjung Anyar Market, Mojokerto Food Task Force Ensures Safe Cooking Oil Supply
JAKARTA - The supply of cooking oil in Mojokerto, East Java is still maintained. People don't have to worry about the scarcity of cooking oil.
The Head of Trade, Diskopukmperindag of Mojokerto City, Ganesh P Khresnawan, said that the Mojokerto Food Task Force carried out inspections on the supply of cooking oil to prevent hoarding. "We checked the availability of cooking oil and here it was in stock, the price was also according to the HET," he said in a press statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 28.
He ensured that the supply of cooking oil in Mojokerto City is safe, so that people don't have to worry about a shortage and if there is a community they can report it to the officers so they can be followed up.
The food task force team will take preventive measures, appeals and repressive actions if in the field there is found hoarding of cooking oil. "The government's advice is very clear, anyone who intentionally hoards cooking oil will be given strict action," said Ganesh.
The joint food task force team from the TNI, the Mojokerto Police and the Department of Cooperatives for Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade (Diskouperindag) of the City of Mojokerto conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) of the availability of cooking oil at the Tanjung Anyar Traditional Market, Mojokerto City.
This inspection is to ensure that the price of cooking oil sold is in accordance with the highest retail price (HET). As a result, the supply and price of bulk and packaged cooking oil in this largest market is relatively safe, the price ranges from Rp. 15,000 to Rp. 17,000 per kilogram.
Dandim 0815 Mojokerto Lieutenant Colonel Inf Beni Asman said the inspection was carried out on the instructions of the Military Commander V/Brawijaya Major General Nurcahyanto. "We are together with the Mojokerto Police, who this afternoon I am accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Police, the Head of the Ops and Opsnal Officers of the Mojokerto Police and the government will continue to monitor the availability and stability of prices for basic and important commodities, especially cooking oil, both packaged and in bulk," he said.
Lt. Col. Inf. Beni is grateful that the price of bulk cooking oil at the Tanjung Anyar Traditional Market is approaching HET, starting from Rp. 15,000 to Rp. 16,000 per kilogram. He hopes that the price can be affordable by the community and availability is not rare.
"That's one thing we want to see. Is the price suitable for HET and whether the goods are also easy to find. If there are indeed problems, we will try to solve them," he also said.
