Spotify's Blend Feature Now Presents K-Pop Artists, From BTS To Stray Kids
JAKARTA - Spotify is now providing a listening experience that allows K-pop fans to connect with their favorite bands in a new way, through the Blend feature.
The Blend feature was introduced last year, and now the company is expanding the feature by adding K-pop artists to it, including the popular boy band BTS.
"Through Spotify's Blend feature, you can sing and dance along to a series of new playlists that combine your personal music tastes with some of the biggest names in K-Pop," Spotify said on its official blog.
According to the company, Blend is an easy way for users to create shared playlists based on each user's listening preferences.
In March, Spotify also released an update to its music discovery feature that includes the ability to mingle with up to 10 people or with music artists. This K-pop expansion is an example of the latter.
Spotify is now expanding its Blend artist collection to include K-Pop superstars BTS, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, NMIXX, and AB6IX.
This feature will combine the user's favorite tracks with songs from the band. Of course, Spotify won't miss the data included in the feature.

After combining a playlist, users can receive a share card that displays a match score identifying which songs the user has shared. The card can then be shared on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, or Twitter.
Known to quote The Verge, Sunday, May 22, K-pop has become a global phenomenon in recent years and it is a fact that the bands are very active on various social media.
They are encouraged to interact with fans on various social media platforms, which in turn fosters parasocial relationships with fans.
With the presence of the Blend feature, it fits nicely into that dynamic, as it creates the feeling that fans know something about a particular group or idol.
