Kapuas Hulu Regent Reminds Young Generation To Stay Away From Drugs: It's Better To Do More Exercise
JAKARTA - Kapuas Hulu Regent Fransiskus Diaan reminded the young generation in the region to stay away from drug abuse because it could destroy their future as the nation's successors.
"Don't try drugs, the future can be destroyed, therefore participate in positive activities in the community, for example exercising," he said in Putussibau Kapuas Hulu, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan Province, quoted from Antara, Saturday 21 May.
He said that recently the sporting activity in Kapuas Hulu was increasing.
Of course, the Kapuas Hulu District Government welcomes it because it is part of many positive activities for the younger generation.
According to him, there are many things that young people can do, apart from gaining knowledge at school or in college, among others, through involvement in various competitions to achieve achievements in various fields.
He acknowledged the influence of the rapid development of the times, technology, and social media, one of which triggers the free association of the younger generation, if there is abuse in their use.
"Fortify yourself with faith and piety and always seek and do positive activities," said Francis.
He also asked for the support and role of parents in supervising their children.
"Don't let our children get too involved in relationships that can harm their future, parental supervision is also very important, especially in the use of technology," said Fransiskus.
