AP I: YIA-Singapore Airport Flight Delayed To June 11
KULON PROGO - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) said that the flight route from Yogyakarta International Airport, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, to Singapore was postponed from its original schedule from June 1 to June 11, 2022.
Temporary Acting General Manager of Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), Agus Pandu Purnama, said that the initial plan for the Yogyakarta-Singapore International Airport route was projected for June 1.
"In fact, Singapore's international flight representatives contacted us yesterday, Angkasa Pura 1 for preparations. In the beginning, the information on June 1, turned out to be by their readiness, the plan is probably the first week or the second week of June", he said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 19.
He said flights to and from Singapore will be served by the airline Scoot Tiger. The plan is that the airline will serve three flights a week, namely every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. "Singapore's international flights are currently only three times", he said.

Agus also said that the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic and the opening of international flights at several airports in Indonesia, including Yogyakarta International Airport, has increased public interest in using air transportation modes.
Therefore, several travel agents contact Yogyakarta International Airport regarding charter flights from several countries.
"In the meantime, what we have heard is that there have been contacts for charter flights, starting from Korea and Kepang.
