3 Fishermen And Dealers Arrested In Lingga, 11 Kg Of Shabu Seized By BNN
KEPRI - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of the Riau Islands Province (Kepri) arrested three international network drug dealers with as much as 11,094 grams of shabu in the sea in Lingga Regency, Riau Islands.
"The three AH (52 years), AS (48 years), and IN (43 years) were arrested on May 15 yesterday on the Pompong ship near the waters of Kentar Island, Lingga Regency," said Head of the Riau Islands BNNP Eradication, Kombes Pol Heru Yulianto, in the City of Batam, Riau Islands, Wednesday 18 May.
After a search of the pompong they were riding in, the officers found 1 large black plastic bag in which there were 11 packs of green Guanyinwang Chinese tea.
"After we opened it, it was suspected that the contents were class I narcotics of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 11,094 grams or 11 kilos," Heru said quoting Antara.
As for the mode of operation, Heru said it was the same as what happened in the Riau Islands waters, namely "ship to ship". "The suspect is also a fisherman," he said.
Currently, Heru said that his party was still investigating where the methamphetamine came from and where it would be distributed.
"We are still investigating if the goods are from abroad. From where we still can't say because it's still an investigation," he said.
