The Minister Of Home Affairs Is Asked To Routinely Evaluate The Acting Regional Head, If He Does Not Contribute, He Will Be Replaced Immediately

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Home Affairs is asked to routinely evaluate several acting (Pj) regional heads who have recently been appointed. If someone does not contribute, the acting regional head should be replaced.

This was conveyed by a member of Commission II of the DPR Aminurohkman. According to him, the evaluation should be done 6 months or a year.

According to him, evaluation is needed to see how far the performance of the Acting. this regional head in building communication and work ethic in various regional governments and can work together with the provincial DPRD and regency/municipal DPRD.

"If the work is deemed unable to make a positive contribution to the administration of local government, it must be withdrawn and replaced by someone with a more qualified capacity. If it is not replaced, it will have a negative impact on regional stability," said the NasDem Party politician.

Previously, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, emphasized that the performance of the acting regional heads would be evaluated every 3 months.

Aminurokhman emphasized that the appointed official must have strong legitimacy in order to establish communication between political institutions and these officials. If you can't build communication, how can you make strategic decisions and policies that suit the needs of the community.

Aminurokhman also suggested to the government that the appointment of acting governors, regents and mayors must use regulations and be in accordance with existing principles, namely in accordance with the ASN Law and the TNI and Polri Law as well as the decisions of the Constitutional Court (MK).

"This regulation must be a reference in making decisions because if it is violated it will cause chaos at the regional level," he said.

He also asked the government to be open in the selection process so that there would be no negative perception in the public if the election of the acting regional head was not due to likes and dislikes.

He also reminded the acting head of this region to be neutral because it will enter a political year and is prone to being misused to support the interests of 2024.

"Therefore, the acting regional head who was appointed should not have aspirations to run in the 2024 Pilkada," said Aminurokhman.

In 2022, the government through the Ministry of Home Affairs will officially inaugurate five acting regional heads at the provincial level.

Five people were inaugurated, namely the Director General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ridwan Djamaluddin, as Acting Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands, Banten Regional Secretary Al Muktabar as Acting Governor of Banten, Expert Staff for Sportivity Culture of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Hamka Hendra Noer as Acting Governor of Gorontalo.
