Surabaya City Government Sends 8 Ambulances To Help Evacuate Ardiansyah Bus Accident Victims On The Surabaya-Mojokerto Toll Road

JAKARTA - The Surabaya City Government sent eight ambulance units to Wahidin Mojokerto Hospital to take dozens of passengers who were victims of a bus accident on Km 712+400 Line A of the Surabaya-Mojokerto (Sumo) Toll Road, Monday, May 16 morning.

"According to the direction of the mayor, we have to guard the dozens of dead and injured, because these are residents of our area," said the Acting (Plt) Head of the Surabaya City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Ridwan Mubarun, quoted from Antara.

For that, his party helped by sending eight ambulances to Wahidin Mojokerto Hospital to bring the bodies to the funeral home in Benowo Village, Pakal District.

"Most of the residents who are victims of accidents on the Sumo toll road are from Benowo Village, Pakal," he said.

Ridwan said that his party had coordinated with the local authorities to assist the families of the victims regarding the funeral.

It is known that dozens of victims of a bus accident on Km 712+400 Line A of the Sumo Toll Road on Monday morning at around 06.15 western Indonesia time, were evacuated to a number of different hospitals to speed up the handling process.

There are several hospitals that treat survivors and those who died, such as Citra Medika Hospital, Emma Hospital, Wahidin Mojokerto Hospital, and RA Basoeni Hospital.

Previously, it was reported that at least 14 people died and 12 people were injured when Ardiansyah Bus with police number S 7322 UW crashed on Km 712+400 Line A of the Surabaya-Mojokerto (Sumo) Toll Road on Monday morning at around 06.15 western Indonesia time.
