Jasa Raharja Provides Compensation Of IDR 99 Billion To Accident Victims During The 2022 Eid Homecoming
JAKARTA - The government-owned insurance company PT Jasa Raharja has distributed compensation of IDR 99.2 billion to the families of accident victims during the 2022 Lebaran homecoming period which runs from April 25 to May 10. This figure is up 10.6 percent compared to Eid in 2019.
"Jasa Raharja is actively involved in securing the homecoming and return flows for Eid 2022 by being on standby to serve accident victims for 16 days," said Jasa Raharja President Director Rivan A. Purwantono, quoted Sunday, May 15.
In detail, Rivan said the compensation consisted of compensation for the death of IDR 73.3 billion, an increase of 12 percent. On the other hand, compensation for injured victims was IDR 25.9 billion, up 6.8 percent compared to the 2019 period.
He also revealed that the delivery of death compensation to the heirs is processed in an average of fewer than 24 hours from the time of the incident. Meanwhile, the average completion time for complete compensation files is 15 minutes.
"For injured victims who are still being treated at the hospital, we issue a guarantee letter through an integrated online service system so that the treatment costs are guaranteed by Jasa Raharja up to a maximum of IDR 20 million," he said.

Rivan himself assessed that the implementation of Lebaran homecoming this year as a whole went well, safely, and smoothly thanks to good coordination between the government, the National Police, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of SOEs, and all other related parties.
“This year's homecoming is different from previous homecomings because in the last two years the government has limited people's mobility. It is estimated that at least 85 million people returned to their hometowns during Eid yesterday," he explained.
Rivan also mentioned traffic engineering policies such as contraflow to one way on main toll roads which have been proven to be effective in making road users safer, more comfortable, and smoother. However, the evaluation process is still ongoing to improve future performance.
"Of course, there are still records that we will evaluate," he said.
For information, the Indonesian National Police in Operation Ketupat 2022 released data that in the period from April 28 to May 9 2022 there were 3,457 cases of traffic accidents. This number is down 11 percent compared to Eid 2019. From this number alone, it is stated that 530 victims died, or lower than the Lebaran period two years ago.
