DKI Deputy Governor: JIS Prioritized For Sports Activities
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria emphasized that the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) is still prioritized for sports activities in order to produce outstanding Indonesian athletes.
"I need to emphasize that JIS was primarily built for sports activities, encouraging the birth of Indonesian athletes to be proud of in the future," said Riza Patria as quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 14.
JIS, he said, would later become a public space, a place for residents to meet and interact in religious, social and cultural matters.
However, for non-sports activities, for example, the 212 Reunion event, the regulations and provisions are still being drawn up by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro).
"So, for now, it cannot be used as the location for the 212 Reunion," he said.
Riza explained, similar to the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), which can be used as a location for various activities, including sports, social and political campaigns, in the future JIS is also open to positive activities by various groups.
However, said Riza, all regulations and provisions are still being finalized.
Not only that, JIS is currently in the finalization stage and the stadium has not been inaugurated yet so it still needs to be monitored and monitored closely.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) invites all people who will use JIS as a place to carry out activities in the future to maintain all facilities at JIS.
"That way, JIS will continue to be a proud stadium in Jakarta and amaze in the eyes of the world," said the Gerindra Party politician.
Previously, Riza said, as long as the activities were positive, did not violate the rules and laws, JIS was allowed to be the location for various activities.
"Any activity that feels good, positive, does not violate the rules is certainly allowed, anything that does not violate it," he said at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (13/5).
