Discussion With The Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources, KPK Discusses The Potential For Corruption In The Biodiesel Subsidy Program
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) together with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif discussed the vulnerability of corruption in the biodiesel subsidy program (B30). The discussion was held today, Friday, May 13 at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada.
Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Prevention Ipi Maryati said there were a number of strategic and technical issues presented by the institution. Including, regarding the results of the analysis of potential corruption in the implementation of subsidies for biodiesel procurement in the B30 program.
"KPK conveys the results of the analysis of corruption vulnerabilities in the biodiesel subsidy program (B30) by explaining a number of strategic and technical issues related to the scope of the study," said Ipi in a written statement, Friday, May 13.
In addition, there were two other things that were also discussed, namely the analysis of potential state financial losses in the biodiesel procurement subsidy and the analysis of weaknesses in the governance of the implementation of the biodiesel procurement subsidy which includes regulatory, institutional and administrative aspects.
Present at this meeting were KPK Chair Firli Bahuri who was accompanied by Deputy Chairs Nurul Ghufron, Nawawi Pomolango, and Lili Pintauli Siregar along with members of the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring, namely KPK Monitoring Director Agung Yudha and the review team.
Meanwhile, after holding a meeting, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said his party would certainly make improvements after hearing a study from the KPK. However, this repair will be carried out after the technical team has conducted an in-depth investigation.
"That will be carried out further by the technical team to match the figures and then of course there will be improvements," Arifin told reporters after holding a closed-door meeting.
During the meeting, Arifin was accompanied by the Secretary General of ESDM Ego Syahrial, Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) Dadan Kusdiana, Director General of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji, Director of Bioenergy, Directorate General of EBTKE Edi Wibowo, and Head of Planning Bureau Chrisnawan Anditya.
In addition, present from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), namely Plt. Director of Fund Distribution Zaid Burhan Ibrahim and Director of Planning and Fund Management Kabul Wijayanto.
