Greysia Polii Reveals Her Duties As Chair Of The BWF Athlete Commission: Learning And Serving
JAKARTA - Greysia Polii revealed the tasks she has carried out since she was appointed as Chair of the Athlete Commission of the World Badminton Association (BWF). One of the main tasks is to prioritize the interests of the people.
The owner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medal was elected to the position since last February for the 2022-2025 period. She was accompanied by the Dutch badminton player, Robin Tableing, in the position of vice chairman.
"If someone asks what are the benefits of being the Chair of the Athlete Commission? Honestly, I'm still confused about what the answer is, but what is certain is that I'm here to learn and serve," wrote Greysia on her personal Instagram account.
The position that Greysia currently holds has not been passed easily. The partner from Apriyani Rahayu must pass several stages of selection from the BWF Vetting Panel as the main requirement.
Greysia said that during her time as chair of the athlete commission she had learned many things. In addition to prioritizing the interests of many people, he also encountered other technical matters that he had not studied before.
"Learn to negotiate, express opinions, give aspirations, serve with all my heart. On the way, there will definitely be pros and cons, but that's okay, I will live this noble task with the best attitude," she continued.
