Bima Arya: Cinemas In The City Of Bogor Are Not Allowed To Operate

JAKARTA - Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya Sugiarto, stated that cinemas in the city are still not allowed to operate on the implementation of micro and community-scale social restrictions (PSBMK) that are prepared for the next two weeks.

"The cinema has not been allowed to operate because the risk of contact is still high," said Bima Arya Sugiarto after attending a virtual coordination meeting for handling COVID-19 with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan in Bogor City, Tuesday.

According to Bima Arya, cinema operations, namely screening of films in closed and air-conditioned studios, have a risk of contracting COVID-19, so they have not been allowed to operate.

Meanwhile, the culinary sector operations, namely cafes, restaurants, restaurants, stalls and the like, are given a leeway from operating until 18.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.

Bima stated that the Bogor City Government welcomed the implementation of the Transitional large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) implemented by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, on 12-25 October.

According to him, the Bogor City Government adjusted the implementation of PSBMK with the Transitional PSBB in DKI Jakarta, namely by relaxing the culinary sector operations until 21:00 WIB.

"Restaurants and cafes featuring live music are also permitted until 21:00 WIB by implementing health protocols," he said.

Bima emphasized that even though it was given leeway in the culinary sector, the Bogor City Government still implemented strict and correct health protocols.

Cafes, restaurants, restaurants, and the like, he said, must prepare health protocol facilities, such as washing hands with soap, measuring body temperature, as well as guests who attend wearing masks.
